Volunteer, intern, or do research at our centre:
Volunteering and working at our centre not only provides our community with much-needed support, it also provides you with a deeply meaningful, rewarding, and life-changing opportunity.
We have hosted volunteers, interns, and researchers from all over the world. We believe in matching volunteers and their skills with projects that will make an important difference in our community, as well as provide the volunteer with a memorable and meaningful experience.
If you are interested in volunteering, interning, or doing research at our centre, please contact the BC Society for St. Stephen Children’s Centre, who manages our international volunteer program.

Volunteer, intern, or do research at our centre:
I had the pleasure to work in the Lwengo district twice, the first time in 2010 as a volunteer and the second time in 2013 for my Master's thesis, during which I undertook an interview-based study on food security. Through these experiences I was able to contribute to the communities, and felt honoured to do so. I met many very strong and motivated people working for sustainable development in the district. I believe that the Masaka region and the Lwengo district in particular have a great potential to thrive in the coming years.
I would like to recommend the work that St. Stephen Children's Centre is achieving under difficult circumstances for the most disadvantaged youth and community members, allowing them to have opportunities for their future. My thoughts go to the centre’s director and my good friend Ben to whom I wish strength and good luck for the future.
